In Mandarin, pupils follow a course of study to build skills leading up to the AQA GCSE exam.
Pupils master a range of vocabulary and grammar structures using the AQA GCSE textbooks, as well as online resources.
Clubs:
“Mandarin Circle” Club meets every Friday lunchtime. Pupils in First and Second?Year extend their cultural knowledge through crafts-making, tea tasting, Chinese games etc.
Trips:
First and Second Year
Trip to Chinatown or the British Museum to learn about the history of China. They will have the chance to taste Chinese food.
Third to Fifth Year
Cultural trip to China. Pupils explore two to three cities during the trip and develop their understanding of the culture, traditions and history.
